How does this help educate DCUM posters looking to learn information?

I am the OP again and I do feel like rabid pit bulls are ripping my flesh apart here. And I know why.

Whether I dip into my 401K to help my kid is my business. I have a few degrees and can always get some kind of work to replenish that account. But for now, my child needs help and there is no person in a better position to help him than me with my 401K account. This is what I advise to parents with kids with issues. If you think this is stupid advice, no skin off my nose. There's nothing more I can say to you.

They can make a point without being mean and degrading and insulting but they choose not to. Just ignore them and keep getting your message across if that's important to you. Good luck with your DC.

You're right. I probably should have ignored the mean posts. The last thing they want is to be ignored. Thank you for your supportive words.

My hat's off to you. Money pales compared to our children, IMO. I would rather face retirement broke than experience it with my nest egg intact knowing I had kept that money for my own needs while letting the needs of my DC go unmet.

You and the hijacker. Sounds like a match made in heaven.

OMG, get down off the cross woman.

Seriously - you feel like you are being pulled apart by rabid pit bulls? Step away from the keyboard and join reality lady.

Some people have feelings, and some people react negatively to being bullied. That's nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, it's quite normal.

How does Greenspan think bullying should be handled?

Yes we all have feelings but likening a disagreement on an anonymous website to being ripped apart by pit bulls is somewhat melodramtic. I don't mean this in a nasty way although I'm sure it will be taken that way but to get so upset about some strangers on a website suggests that the OP might have some personal emotional issues.

She shared on another thread that we are treating her this way because agreeing with her meant we had to admit we were not doing right by our kids (and presumably we can't face that?). So instead we bully her. THAT is weird.

I am not the OP. I'm the one who said she was being bullied. I didn't even read the original thread that got you all so riled up. Most of the posts on THIS thread are mean spirited and just plain ugly.

Yes, and the sane folks simply forget about them when they walk away from the computer.

You can usually offer more to a discuss when you know what people are talking about.

They also don't go whining to an administrator to get the people who disagree with them kicked off or their posts deleted.

You mean like you're doing?

And you had to come running over here breathlessly telling your side of the story to Mommy -- er, I mean, Jeff -- because you're so much better than that.
