How many activities and how old

DS is 3 and in full time child care. We go to lots of museums and parks, and he’ll do swim lessons at the pool over the summer.

When I worked part time 0-2, we did swim lessons, museum classes, other occasional one-off things.

We prioritize family time at this point, but when he’s 4 I will probably sign him up for some physical activity other than swim.

My 5 year old is in one activity, gymnastics. She’s part of a invitation only developmental class to prepare for their competitive team though so it’s twice a week for 1.5 hours. When she moves up to pre team it will be 3 hours twice a week so I haven’t thought about any other activities but I would like to add swimming lessons.
