This. It wasn't a normal fever, it was part of the FLU. Which kills young kids every single year. A fever with a cold? I would not take my child. A fever during the flu when the doctor told me to get her checked out is she spikes one? YES. OP, you did fine. I would have maybe waited to see if advil perked her up and lowered the temp. And I'd also find a pediatrician who has an after hours nurse line. I think being able to call them and talk through what's happening always helps. |

OP, you did nothing wrong. Always trust your gut instinct.
Our ped said to bring DS(2) in if he had 100.4 fever on day 4. |
| You made the right call. Little kids can turn quickly. 4 year old died of the flu. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6695473/Tearful-father-believes-failed-four-year-old-daughter-died-flu-complications.html |
WHich is not a crime, nor even remotely a big deal (NP here). Stop taking your bad day out on OP. |
| I would have tried meds first. But our ped always wants to see my child if high fever and lethargic. You should look around there are pediatric urgent cares that are open on saturdays- but always be safe than sory |
