I also want to know what linear algebra is and how it's fun. It seems like it is for engineers. My junior BC calc student doesn't want to go on to MV calc (future journalism major). Feeling pressured though because of college admissions.

I thought linear algebra was fun, and I'm not an engineer. I did not think that multivariable calculus was fun. (That might be because my linear algebra professor was a great teacher, whereas my multivariable calculus professor was a typically lousy teacher, but I think it's also because of the math itself.)

Linear algebra is matrix transformations and vectors.
