Can you tell your child you’re tired of hearing about their trip abroad?

I also post this question earlier. I wonder if OP has not traveled much, so is either jealous or can’t relate to her daughter’s excitement.

PP again—just adding that I haven’t traveled a ton either, and I think most of us who haven’t traveled much would still be excited for our kids. So not really sure what OP’s deal is.

That was my first thought! My mother's attitude can sometimes be very similar to the OP's attitude towards her daughter. I love to travel, and my aunt (her sister) and father love to as well. My mother always states that she has no interest in traveling, but she deep down she would actually like to travel. However, she is too anxious to fly, stay in hotels, and eat unfamiliar food. She sometimes rolls her eyes and/or makes faces when I talk about a memory from a trip or try to show her pictures. She'll also make negative or sarcastic comments when I do show her pictures. She is especially negative towards my aunt. She'll sometimes tell me that "all Aunt Larla talks about are her f***** trips" and that she does not care or want to hear about them.
