Or worse still, there is the possibility that he is being paid to be the fall guy until Brett’s on the bench.

In that case, he should be called to testify too.

That’s not going to happen. The foxes are, for the most part, guarding the hen house.

I think it was a few pages back in the current Kavanaugh thread that someone suggesting the possibility that the hurry isn’t the midterms, it’s that Mueller is imminent. I’ve said before and now will repeat that we know the majority of elected Republicans have taken Russian money via the NRA. We’ve watched Lindsay Graham and Chuck Grassley go from sensible(-ish) men to faintly ridiculous yes men. It doesn’t take a lot to suspect that there’s something rotten in Denmark.

No kidding. More conspiracies. More rumors.

Think about it folks. Kavanaugh has unequivocally and without reservation denied the allegations. More than once. So, there are two possibilities. Either she made up the claim, or she has experienced trauma and has remembered the experience incorrectly over the last 36 years. That is it. Two possibilities.

So, the idea that Kavanaugh, and others may believe she is confused is not a stretch and not indicative of any kind of conspiracy.

Why is Dr. Ford the only one who may be remembering things incorrectly? Kavanaugh may be remembering things incorrectly, too.

I agree.

In that case you would definitely be rooting for and calling your GOP leaders to ensure they investigate this by professional investigators, rather than the invetigator-wanna-be Whacky Whelan.

Why should a 36 year old allegation be investigated by law enforcement, when no crime has even been reported to law enforcement? What a waste of resources.

Determining the legitimacy of a Supreme Court candidate, who will serve for a lifetime, is hardly a waste of resources.

Amen!

I love how Republicans play this...until it' their own kin. Than all hell breaks loose. Investigate the claim. As a teen girl in the 80s I believe her over him because this shi$ happened all the time. Esp older boys (Jr/Sr) and younger girls (Soph/Fresh).

Really, then why did he suggested to Orrin Hatch that it could be a case of mistaken identity? And Whelan decided he would do this on this own, plotted for a whole week and never talked to Kavanaugh, even though he is close friend and adviser to him?

How stupid you think everyone is?

There are two additional possibilities. He was trashed and didn’t and doesn’t remember. Or, he is a LIAR just as he’s provably lied about not remembering Kosinski’s jokes and Miranda’s stolen memos.

Got it, folks?

So, you are basically saying he is guilty because of statistics? You want to make that a sweeping generalization? You want people to be automatically found guilty because the statistics lean in that direction? How would that play out in the case of someone charged with murder who is African American? Shall we automatically assume he is guilty because, well, statistics lean a certain way when it comes to African Americans and murder? How about terrorism? Should we automatically convict a person of a terrorist act because of their religion?

Do you know how ignorant your statement is?

Who says he's guilty? We just want to know if his integrity is sufficient to be a Supreme Court justice, or only enough to be a circuit court judge, the most prestigious job there is, for any normal human,

In your mind, I am sure those are possibilities.
As long as he unequivocally denies the allegations, then there are two possibilities when it comes to Kavanaugh’s defense. And, I have laid them out.

If you are the first poster in this message, then you have said he is guilty with these words..... "As a teen girl in the 80s I believe her over him because this shi$ happened all the time. Esp older boys (Jr/Sr) and younger girls (Soph/Fresh).”

Again, an ignorant statement.

No one has said he is guilty. What Democrats are opposing is GOP's march to confirm him as if he was innocent without a trustworthy investigation. Kavanaugh's shenanigans with Whelan seems like an attempt to cover-up. GOP's refusal to release his full records, their refusal to independent investigation and Kavanaugh's behavior do not give a sense of his innocence.

I believe his is guilty because oh the play to throw his friend under the bus. Nails it for me. He hides behind lies.
