We have a pug at home and would like to get a second dog. We'd like the new dog to be more playful than the pug (who is very sweet, but is a total couch potato), but don't want a dog that is prone to being hyperactive, excessively jumpy, etc., both for our own sakes and because we don't want to overwhelm the pug. Our kids are 10 and 5.

Anyone have an Australian Labradoodle? Can you offer any thoughts on their temperment/activity level, etc.

Our next door neighbor has one. The bolder is her to a tee. She’s sweet but NUTS.

Our neighbors have one too. He doesn’t bark at my dog because he likes my dog. He comes to the fence and whimpers for my dog to acknowledge him. He goes berserk when other dogs walk by though, and he barks at me if my dog isn’t outside with me.

We have one and got it after knowing two different families with one. Very sweet low shedding and has its spurts of energy like any puppy. Perfect for our family

Don't do the over-bred dummy doodle thing... just don't.
