So, the full amount must be paid to get access to the active fresh donor database. OTOH, you have a couple of months of preliminaries/diagnostics to get through before you need to pay for the shared risk. from memory: bloodwork for both partners, semen analysis, genetic screening for your partner, a session with a counselor, a mock transfer, a mock EEP cycle (this is where we discovered i ovulate through estrogen), and at 45 you will also need a medical clearance from your OB-GYN and your primary care doc. After that, it's around 3 months from donor selection to PGS results. Good luck! |
| are the medications covered by insurance? |
Depends on whether your insurance covers IVF. |

For those that were reimbursed, is it a correct assumption that the “full refund” is the up front program fee/cost only? For example, if I did 3 cycles and then left program, I would be reimbursed the $29,000 fee (I’m 40 yrs old) but would still be out approx. $21,000 in non-insured meds, $2,100 for PGT-A testing & all other non-covered program costs like prescreen testing/labs, retrieval/FET anesthesia, etc.?
**Also, this is by far the most helpful thread I’ve come across as I am embarking on my first very exciting yet very expensive and scary IVF journey. A huge THANK YOU to all!!** |
You will only get the program fee back. |

Makes sense. Thanks.
For those that were qualified for the shared risk program, what were your AMH levels and age at the time of acceptance? I’m 40 with 1.66 AMH and was not accepted for RBA’s Bundl guard guarantee so wondering if it’s around the same for SGF. |
