Yes, so annoying to have think of ideas for others. |
People do this all the time with my kids. I feel slightly uncomfortable with it. |
Exactly it’s uncomfortable bc it’s weird telling an acquaintance what to buy especially when you don’t have a clue what their budget is. I really hate it when ppl ask. |
Not this. |

Whatever you do, don't get slime for a 11 year old. And no to Starbucks gift card. And some parents do not allow nail polish at that age. Get a gift card to Amazon or Target and be done. |
I disagree. I would much prefer to tell you “nothing big! my kid is super into art and books” and she receive gifts related to things she actually likes vs makeup and slime and things she doesn’t care about. Gift cards are fine, but opening a bunch of gift cards is not that exciting. I don’t care about cost, homemade gifts are fine, secondhand gifts are also completely fine. I’ve asked “what types of things is your kid into?” Vs “send me a link” and it all works out. |
What? I do this too but I'm not looking for gift suggestions. Just literally what topics (Minecraft, TSwift, crochet, etc.) are your kids interested in. Seems easy enough if you know your kid. |

Hm. These are all pretty girlie and specific. Lots of girls don’t do their nails or wear earrings. And please don’t get a cheap plastic water bottle or thin cheap towel. I would get a gift card. Mom of two teen girls |
Kids in the tween phase change their interests every few weeks. That doesn't mean we don't know our kid. |
Fine, you know your kid. What was she into two weeks ago? Throw me a bone. I don't know your kid at all. I always attach a gift receipt. She can return it. |
Eh my sporty 10 year old wouldn't love much of that. I give games usually. They can work for just her and friends, or for the family. Also its' easy to re-gift if they get a duplicate. That paired with something a little more fun (like a bag of Haribo gummies) is my go-to. Not all girls are into Starbucks and their nails. |
