I just want to go to a nice restaurant, be intimate and get some sleep.

OK, but this is boring. You're coming off as boring to a lot of women.

Some women are looking for boring but you have to mix the boring with a little excitement. Are you paying for dinner, do you offer a wonderful intimate adventure, and will she wake to coffee and breakfast in bed. Old age can be very exciting in subtle ways.

Personally, I want breakfast in bed consisting of a plate of banana pancakes served with a side a bacon (or maybe even a little local sausage )

Work your version of "boring." Get back on those sites and swipe away.

But don't worry, they'll still be happy to milk you of resources without giving you sex. Oh wait, you were married, so you already know what the "boring celibate beta provider" role is all about.

Ignore this poster. Not everyone is looking for a thrill seeker. You have to learn to sell your brand of boring.

PP here. I was being somewhat tongue-in-cheek. I'm not that boring, but I have very little interest in jumping out of airplanes and traveling to Africa with these women. Wealthy and good looking seem to be attracting more than enough women, however.

It's great that that worked out for you, but it isn't the case for everyone. And if you were to get divorced, the odds are pretty good you'll end up online.

I've never really done much online dating, and as a 45-year-old woman, it means i don't do much dating. I go out weekly, and have lots of friends and am friendly, but there just aren't many single/divorced men in my age range when I'm out and about. I might be at a bar in Arlington and they might be at a bar in DC or Bethesda, or at a house party or on someone's boat, but they're not in the place where i am. which is why online dating is good - it takes away the "right place, right time" aspect, which is LUCK, and gives you access to people in all places at all times.

Exactly, I literally have no time or desire to go bar hoping as early 40s man. Literally, connected with someone on OKC then chatted via kik.
Boom, we already setup a first date in a week.
