Best public schools - budget of around 700k

We're in a great pyramid in Fairfax that became a better pyramid when they decided to start sending some middle schoolers to Thoreau instead of Jackson.

Bethesda is very congested. Chevy Chase is just next to it. Congestion is insane.

Why does everyone think Rockville is great. The congestion vis worse than Bethesda. The schools are very overcrowded. Just in elementary, it can vary from 20 kids-30 kids per classroom x 4 or 5 classes, from K-5, it's like this. Crazy.

If I were you, I would check out the PTA related funds and activities instead of just the school's budget.

You could take the entire staff of a "high performing" school in Fairfax or Bethesda and trade them with the entire staff at a "poor performing" school in DC and the academic results would likely be about the same because it's all about the students.

Shhh! Stop making sense. We must blame the teachers because they aren't doing enough.

That must be zoned to Oakton. You don't really have a pyramid - your kids move from schools in the Oakton or Madison pyramid to a middle school in the Madison pyramid and then eventually to Oakton.

Ditto.
Regarding the commute. I work in NW DC too. I take the metro to work. Or sometimes I take the 18P bus to the Pentagon and metro from there. Commute is long tho (over an hour each way).
