I teach 5th grade and no way would this work at my school. The 5th and 6th grade boys (and some 4th graders) would be making gross comments to the girls (and some of the other boys) within 30 seconds. “I like the way you move your hands in there,” “why are you so good at that?”, “Me next,” etc. Most of the kids I teach are pretty nice, but all it takes is 1-2 in a class. And they would be sneaky enough about it that it would be hard to catch. I just wouldn’t do that to my girls.
