Ski conditions in Utah - rethinking our trip

Where do you stay in Solitude? We have a condo there.

snowshoe has a 42 inch base!

I am not sure I would cancel a trip to PC with an $800 change fee. I would probably just suck it up and enjoy the trip. last last thanksgiving we rolled the dice with a trip to breckenridge and there was only one peak open with insane crowds. We still had fun and then made up for it last spring with a trip to tahoe with their 10 feet plus snow drifts.

you could cancel your PC hotel and drive up to Jackson Hole? I think its 5 or so hours.

Grand Targhee isn’t really a vacation destination in my opinion. Maybe go one day but if you are going to think about switching to Grand Targhee, you really should do Jackson Hole.

I like Solitude but it is not a great beginners mountain or mountain for people whose kids are beginners.
