I'm pretty terrible at these off year elections but I made sure this time around to get off my ass and vote this year. I despise the Trumpster and his ilk, that served as a great motivator for me to brave the rain and vote.

I'll be doing the same for the midterms next year. There's no greater motivator than doing my part to help vote in people that will impede the hell out of the moron sitting in the oval office.

It’s hard not to conclude the August events in Charlottesville had a galvanizing effect on Democrats in that area. Across the state, raw votes cast were up 16 percent over 2013. But in the city of Charlottesville, raw votes cast were up 31 percent. Northam took 84 percent of the vote there.

Well done. Doesn't it feel great to be a part of the collective win, for the greater good? I love voting! It's not always easy - time, schedules, weather, even disinterest and election/ad fatigue. But it's worth it. High five, pp!
