K - 8 School Parents: Leaving before 8th grade?

| K-8 Teacher here. There are often a variety of reasons a child's parents decide to apply to another school rather than stay for middle school. While sad to lose students we've grown to know, and enjoy teaching, we always try to support the best interest of the child when sending recommendations. A note: Applying to many schools on non-expansion years can become very stressful for the child, especially when the child is less invested than the parent in changing schools. (That is not meant to imply: Do not apply!) |
