My friends in SC - in the path of totality - would disagree. They sent some cool pics, tho! |
The poopooers are probably angry because they didn't buy their eclipse glasses in time. |
I caught a glimpse as a thin part of a big cloud passed over it. Pretty cool. |
yep -- but I still enjoyed seeing it with my eclipse glasses. |
Agreed. My hometown will be in the totality path in 2024- I had no idea. And it's on a Monday again- perfect excuse to go up for the long weekend! |
I live in the path of totality in Missouri, and while it didn't get pitch dark, it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. We did see a few stars, as well as Venus. A couple of bats were flying around, and were very confused. ![]() I was at my son's school with DH and my parents, who had flown in from Baltimore, and the cheer that went up from the crowd when we took off our glasses and looked at totality was worth it on its own. |
Same here!! |
PPs who are all "disappointed" in the experience, you should definitely submit your complaints on Yelp. |
Geez, I'm glad I'm not so jaded as all of you people. I thought it was pretty cool, despite not being in the path of totality. |
I loved seeing all the vids my friends in the totality areas took.
It's crazy to think that with 82% blockage, the sun was till THAT bright. |
Capital Weather Gang got a pretty cool pic:

In the path, saw it, and while it lasted a little over 2 minutes, it was cool. |
NP. I'd consider that pretty dark and I image that'd be cool to have experienced. |
Wow OP, I've seen some jaded, spoiled people in my life, but not being impressed by an eclipse of the sun? I bet you are a handful... |
