If you could, what would you want to tell your 25 year old self?

Yes, you do have an eating disorder. Instead of promising yourself every night that you'll never vomit again after this one last time, get yourself into therapy. This will give you multiple years of living that will otherwise be lost to your vicious and disgusting eating disorder.

And cut off contact with all men who speak about women's weight. Just cut them off immediately.

Don't let fear hold you back - take the six figure sales position, but don't stay in the telecom business more than two years!

Don't be afraid to bend the rules.
Take chances.

Buy that house in California; I know $400k seems like a lot of money (I mean your childhood home is worth $40k in 2010), but that is dirt cheap where it is going.

As a 20-something who stumbled upon this thread (it's under Recent Topics), I'm honestly curious - do most people reading this feel this way?

And don't let yourself get sweet-talked by others.

When you move, just keep that house and rent it out. Someday it will be worth 6 times what you paid.

Under no circumstances should you marry that virgin, no matter how precious it is that he is saving himself for marriage. Yes, I know that based on your past relationships it doesn't seem possible that a man would not want to have sex at every opportunity, much less that he could go months or years without it. You are going to have to trust me on this one: some men are like this, and you will not be happy being married to one.

Yes.

Life gets very expensive when you have multiple teenagers to feed, clothe, house, and educate.

I wish my mother (and stepmother) had gotten this advice.

That blond you've known forever? She's the real deal, don't screw it up. That blond you're going to meet in three years? She's a mess, stay the hell away.

Hold tight to your true friends, not the ones who are super fun to drink with or bring you to cooler parties or raise your social profile. And don't waste these precious years chasing hot sex and infatuation with guys you know you won't marry. I'm 34 and I've never been a bridesmaid. It hurts a lot to think about some of the amazing women I didn't prioritize over fun narcissists or loser fuckbuddies.
