We think our dog would be happier with another family. What do we do?

People eat dogs. Get a grip. I dont hate anyone but I find dog activists to be hilarious. Does Mocha need a special shower? Is Bailey biting your kids? Imagine if mocha was shitting all over your floors? What if Java bit your child? |

I hate this thinking and I foster rescue dogs. I've placed a lot of dogs in new homes and follow those dogs that went to friends of mine and I'm pretty sure the dogs are a lot happier in their new homes. It is because these people are too busy, have a serious illnsss or that they just kind of suck as people that the dog needs a new home - but think of the dog and don't criticize them. Hopefully the dog is going on to a better life. Help them rehome the dog in a pleasant manner. |

Hi - I work in animal welfare/rescue, and am not here to judge you. Luckily, a doodle should be pretty easy to place with a new family.
I'd say reach out to some local rescue groups and ask for their help placing your dog in a wonderful home. Try Lost Dog And Cat Foundation and Homeward Trails to start. Let them know if you can do what's called "fostering in place" while they look for a new family for your dog - that means that your dog can stay with you until they're adopted to someone else. You will get the chance to help pick the new family that way, too. |
