Would you view "dang it" as bad language?

"Dang" and "darn" are in the same category. I wouldn't bat an eye if a kid used either.

Heavens to Betsy autocorrect got me again!

It was autocorrected because it's inappropriate. What 2nd grader would say "heavens to Betsy"??!
Anonymous
Lol, people are really taking the heavens to Betsy poster seriously. I think she was joking, people.

It is fine with me. Seriously, I just don't see the problem.

I have been meaning to ask this for a long time! I am a new poster and a foreigner. Just had my son's friend over for a play date and heard him say "oh crap" and "what the hell".
My son learned "what the heck" at school but not the other two. How terrible are the first two? Oh dear
Anonymous
Dang and freakin are no different than Gosh darn it and other non-profane vents.
Anonymous
You all are nuts. Not appropriate for a 2nd grader.
Anonymous
It would get a hairy eyeball from me but not the fury of other words.

Lol my son says that...in addition to dang it.

To the anti-dang folks out there, what exclamations do your kids use when angry and frustrated?

Why do some people have to be so controlling as to specify such small stuff?

My kids don't become angry and frustrated. I speak to them and they respond, "Yes Mommy Dearest."

It's the only appropriate response for a 2nd grader.

Totally didn't realize some people consider this bad language. I've taught my 2 yo to say "dang nabit"

I'm one of the "not appropriate" PP's. My girls say "ughhhhh!!!" Or something like that.
