No, my parents were in their 60s when I went to college--the other younger and fitter college students help you out! After the first year, I did it myself, with my friends. Not a big deal. |
50 is too old to get drunk all the time. It just looks sad and pathetic. |
50 is when you stop caring what other people think. |
Nah. 52. I can where whatever the f**ck I want to. Cargo shorts today... |
Any kids? So you mean even older kids/teens? I can see feeling too old to raise a baby/toddler, but if you feel too old at 50 years old to have a teenager at home, you probably need to work on that (eat better, exercise, get more sleep, etc.). Sometimes it seems like people who have their kids when they are young age prematurely, which I find strange. |
Pot is now the in thing but of course it never went out of style. Legal of course. |
I tend to agree. Can't imagine myself with a newborn right now - I'm too old to have a baby and my kids are way too young. |
eh, not out to impress anyone. If I want to get drunk I'll do it, if I don't fall asleep first... |
Ok...here is what happens at 50+, that did not happen at 30.
If something twists, an ankle, a knee, it hurts for weeks or months instead of days. If I think about doing something with out stretching first, I can pull a muscle. For example, someone throws a ball over my head...I think about jumping to grab it, pulled muscle (it happened). I am sitting in a work meeting, and someone comes up with a solution to a problem...only the same solution was tried and failed 10 and 20 years ago...I remember. Sometime, the failure was slower computer resources before -- then it is ok to revisit it. Other times, it is the underlying physics. that does not change. Things I can't do anymore: My wife more than 1x per night All nighters for work (but I am far more productive, and get all nighters). |
I am 60 and I thought 50 was fun, still look good, kids are older, whats the problem? |
Shop at Forever 21. I get that women our age should feel free to wear the lengths of shorts, skirts, and sleeves they want. But we're old enough not to have to settle for tacky prints and cheap fabric. |
Jog. My knees hurt afterwards. Which is actually fine, because I always found jogging boring and prefer to walk and enjoy the scenery. |
Helicopter alert!!!!! |
I'll be 55 when my oldest hits college and 60 when my second starts. Why would I be expected to lift the heavy stuff myself? My nieces and nephews (much older than my own kids) moved their friends in, and their friends helped them. I fail to see how this falls all on the parent. My son will definitely be helping his sister, btw. |
For real! Everyone does not have their kids at 19 and 25! If you feel old at 50 -- DAYUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM |
