Left $15 worth of school supplies in friend's car, she says no

Everything was out of the bag and sort of mixed in with the other crap on the floor of the car. The binder rings are bent because the kids have stepped on it. DD was pretty upset so she called me over to see. I'm pretty upset, too, because obviously the bag was in her car the whole time and this could have all been avoided. When the mom saw me coming, she looked stricken and hurried over. She said that the bag must have been pushed under the front seat, so she didn't see it. I kept waiting for her apologize and to offer to replace the binder, but she hasn't yet. I'm going to pick up a new one when we leave practice, but I'm done with her.

You sound batshit insane.

Thanks for the update, OP. Glad the bag of school supplies turned up. Seems 22:17 got it right about your friend.

You're done with your friend over a binder? Seriously this is like a $4 thing.

Huh? The friend didn't even apologize. She couldn't even bring the bag over to her, call her. Nothing.
I'd be done with people like her too op. Forget the pps who say you are insane.

Seems to me the friend was dishonest to say she didn't have the bag of school supplies.

Or it was really under the seat and she didn't see it. Sounds like a wash. OP didn't keep track of her stuff and friend didn't look hard enough to find it.

I would also point out that friend also put herself out to haul you around, so it isn't a normal situation. I would not expect s replacement in that case, though I would probably offer in friend's situation.

Friends are hard to find, There are lots of threads about that. I would not break up a friendship over this. I would avoid this situation again, but would remain friends.

Waiting for the post: "My mom friend who mooches off me for rides left her crap in my car because she can't keep track of anything. My kid stepped on the bag since she left it ON THE FLOOR and now she's refusing to speak to me."
