| Don't internships just suck in general? Especially political internships? I'd rather spend the day driving to PA vs cold calling or stuffing envelopes or making copies or door knocking. |
| A fellow? Really? |
| Another helicopter mom with her special snowflake daughter not realizing this attitude is just going to hold her daughter back. |
| What I'm stuck on here is how it is a bargain for an unpaid intern to get a few days off. She's an unpaid intern to gain experience, so I wouldn't think that giving her three days "off" is much of an incentive. |

Oh, but thank you for the appreciative BAHAHAHAHA. I thought it was rather clever but apparently no one else read that thread. |
Hah - mine, too. Last time I went, my dad freaked out till he heard my male coworker was also there. But OP, your special snowflake is working - this is par for the course and doesn't sound unreasonable. |
| I was an intern for a state rep in the Midwest and I used to park his car for him everyday. |
I think you're clever

What did your daughter do?
If she had a backbone she would have said no or she could have gone there and then taken her sweet time to get back too late obviously the papers were not really that important and he probably did not even need them Did she go with her car or his. did she have enough money for gas. I would have been stranded at side of the road with no gas money waiting for him to come by with uber to rescue me and then drive me back home |
Why the f would she say no? |
No, actually that's a stupid and cliched question. |
Okay I want to read that thread... Link? |
Thought same. OP: back off. Your DD is old enough to handle these situations. You can't--and shouldn't!--try to save her. |
| Why didn't she just tell him to have someone near his house or at his house scan it, send via email or upload to a drive. |
