Except for Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore?

the eastern shore is southern maryland.

And I think if it weren't for Pax River, Hoyer would have been gone a while ago. He certainly hasn't done a damn thing to fix the horrendous traffic on Route 5 to/through Waldorf. I actually had the opportunity to say something to him about it once and I did. And he just commiserated. Sigh.
Connolly secured $65M to get the Fairfax County parkway done. Hoyer could make an effort.

Why would Hoyer fix that? Try your local representatives not your congressional representive. Good lord.

Connolly secured that while he sat on the fairfax county board of supervisors. Do you know what you're talking about? And Hoyer has Indian Head & UMD in his district, not just Pax. Cmon.
UMD isn't going to help him, but Indian Head does. I forgot about the surface warfare center....

PG is not southern Maryland now. My grandfather had a huge tobacco farm in St. Marys and my family still has a waterfront place down there. I know southern Maryland and PG is not it.

South Carolina is not part of the Southeast. My grandfather had a huge sugar plantation in Florida. I know the Southeast, and South Carolina is not it.

Are you aware that Marlboro is one of the world's most popular tobacco brands? Did you ever wonder from where that name originated? I'll give you a hint... Think long and hard about this, OK sweetie?

Yes, but so is PG Plaza, College park, etc. Is College Par Southern Maryland? You learn something new everyday.

Upper Marlboro is the doorway to Southern Maryland, as everyone around here knows.

Wrong. It's from Marlborough Street in London where the Philip Morris factory was.

Sweetie.

You need to be in contact with the powers that be in PG County and Charles County. I would also suggest that you support the group Smart Growth Alliance for Charles County: https://savecharlescounty.com/ If Walmart has it's way, 5 into 301 will be a disaster for miles.

Fascinating, all of this, for someone relatively new to MD.

So would you draw an imaginary line from Chesapeake Beach through Ft Washington, and all points south of that in Maryland (other than the Eastern Shore) are "Southern Maryland"?
