My grandmother left something similar to me. My aunt didn't save for retirement, and I don't expect to see any of that $.

Your grandmother left money to your aunt. If there is any left after your aunt dies, then your grandmother wanted you to have it rather than your aunts friends or husband. But your grandmother did not leave you that money, she left it to your aunt.
