Using sister's beach house -she accidentally double booked that week

Your DH needs to be grateful that you have so much time ("our week") in the past and ;et go of it this year. I'm not sure if there is a gentle way to invite yourselves to join your cousins (I have some cousins who would be receptive and others not so much) but I think you either plan on going just to his dad's or finding another vacation. If your cousins do invite you along, I would absoluetely leave DH home to work and he can save his vacation time for something else he'd enjoy.

You can't accuse OP of crashing for not psychically knowing the cousins would request the same week and her sister would forget.
