TJ or AOS/AET/MATA

AET is a part-time program so the kids still go to their base school every other day.

Yes we understand that the kids are still enrolled in the base high school and go alternate days to AET. However, we are still debating whether it is better to not accept AET and just go to regular school both days. Leaning towards accepting AET but jusy checking in this blog if AET is considered as prestigious like AOS.

For a kid who is interested in STEM, I think you could have a good experience either at the base school taking a lot of tech courses, or at AET. I think AET would help the kid stand out with some special experiences b/c they apply to college from their base school. Also don't you get a .5 GPA bump for each class? Plus AET you can leave after 2 years.

No, not yet. AET has a lot to catch up before it can be at par with AOS. I attended the information sessions for both schools and there is a big difference between these schools

I would seriously consider AET for the STEM classes vs the same classes at the local HS. Only problem is that there are no Biology (Lifescience?) courses at AET and has to be taken online in summer. If student is interested in medical field, it might be big disadvantage

Can you provide some information on the wait list process for AOS/AET? Our DS is on the wait list for both. Curious to know what are his chances for making it.

My DD got accepted in AET and waitlisted on AOS. Her choice is AOS.

I too am curious to know if anyone can provide some insight.

How many students get placed on waitlist for AOS abd AET? How many are offered admission from the waitlist pool?

Has there been any movement on AOS/AET waitlist?

Per our experience wait list is clarfied around 3rd week of April. But every year it can be different. To the earlier question - AET is also a rigorous program like AOS but is relatively new. My daughter is at AOS and is talking to the counselors to see if she can get on to one of the AET courses aligned with her interests.

Any experience on AET/AOS waitlist? How many kids make it?

Anyone on waitlist offered admission yet?

Today was the due date to accept AOS/AET admissions.

Some seats may open up.

Many students I know got into both AOS and AET and will be declining 1 of them ( and if they get TJ as well, can posibly decline both AOS and AET)

DS is now offered admission in both AOS and AET. Which one is a better school? He has chosen the Engineering pathway for AET.

My kid got into AET. Should I wait and see if he gets selected for AOS as well or have the finalized the waitlist?

PSAT results are coming tomorrow. Based on last year's admission, can someone share what score is considered good score for AOS and/or AET admission? I understand there can be curving on score but in general range of 1300-1400 is good ?

1300 and above should be safe.
