Don't assume that one can go to a community college for the first two years and then have to go for only for two years to a university to complete a bachelor's degree. My daughter is at UMD and says the CC transfers she knows usually end up going for an additional year (total of 3 years at UMD), as the university doesn't accept credit for some classes taken at Maryland community colleges (CS courses, for example). It depends on the major of course, but it's something to be aware of.
