Hosiery or bare legs

No tan hose. Bare legs, black tights, or (once in a blue moon) sheer black hose for an event

Well I live in northern New England so around here we wear tights October-April at least. Sometimes sheer, sometimes opaque, pretty much always black, brown, gray. Tan pantyhose has always puzzled me. It’s bare legs for warm weather or tights for cold weather, the end.

My husband likes them better with hose. Most women I see on a daily basis don't have nice legs and need to wear hosiery. We need to reverse the trend of bare legs, it is not a good one.

Could not have said it better myself. +100.

+200. I never stopped. The bare skin look is all about sexual availability, which is not what top lawyers/executives want to convey

I don't wear hose anymore. With that said, I believe in spanx and under garments. I hate seeing a big old flabby legs and stomach and then no shaper or hose.

Just avert your eyes. Really. That's actually the big fashion change - people dressing for themselves, not for the gaze.

Even in DC, lawyers have given up hose. Those who really care about these issues, just wear pants.

I would like the trend to be that we just accept what skin, muscles, etc look like.

If you live in a climate where there's frost on the ground in the morning then bare legs look plain stupid (just like guys in shorts in snow).

Op, you really need to lose this mentality

OP also likes herself better in hose. It seems totally okay to wear hose to catch her husband's eye when they got out.

But I don't care about OP's husband so she should lose the mentality that any other woman gives an f about what her husband thinks.

I've been wearing sheer black hose recently and a loving it. A little warmer and more polished than bare legs. And I have to say they are much more comfortable than last time I wore hose.

+1

Lawyer here. I never wear hose. When my career began in the early 2000s, I wore them to court. Now I just wear a pantsuit to court.

At the firm holiday party last weekend, I saw a lot of hose.

Bare legs with sheath dress that hits below knee in January in Vegas for conference? Yes or No.

I would wear ultra ultra sheer hosiery.

below the knee? No hose needed. People will see like 5" of skin lol.

That said, vegas gets surprisingly chilly in the winter. I was there for nye a while back and it was much colder than I was expecting! So do be prepared.
