I am on the Philip train! For fellow Catholics, St. Philip Neri is the patron saint of joy. I wonder if OP did in fact go with Philip and hope her little Phil has brought her family much joy.

Maybe the brother who died was a great kid and you're associating the name with the boy, but in and of itself, Philip is a terrible name.

Philip is great. But no to PHIL! Phil does your taxes...or works in a bowing alley. But there is no in between.
