| I'm a Democrat and I'm not picking apart anyone's looks. |
Good grief, he looks like Joe McCarthy! |
|
OP here. Had a deadline and am just now checking back on this thread.
I think those of you taking me to task for picking apart her looks are way off base. My motive is the opposite. People who judge women's looks are usually imposing some standard beauty requirement on women that is not imposed on men and has nothing to do with their competence or talent or any other relevant trait. Ex. Trump's original comment. I was expressing dismay that she seems to be making her face look abnormal in an effort to meet social expectations for beauty, which was especially disappointing given her debate retort and ad. FTR, I'm a liberal democrat and a feminist. My OP doesn't mean that I don't find her politics repulsive. I do. I'm also in awe of how she handles herself in debates. Wish I could do that. But honestly, of course! |
I'm not putting you down for your original post, OP. It was a fair question. I don't know why Fiorina has possibly succumbed to the pressure to get fillers in her face. I really don't know. BUT, I'm shaking my head at what all the other pp's have turned this thread into- an outright bashing of the Republican candidates and their looks. I was just curious as to why this wasn't done after the Democratic debate. No one has answered that question, still. |
To keep everything fair and balanced, there is NOT one attractive Democrat running for president right now, with the exception of O'Malley. Who seems to only be a pretty face. |
He looks like mashed potatoes poured into a suit. Kind eyes? Maybe if by "kind" you mean "insufferably obnoxious." |
|
Yep. This is the level of discourse and critical analysis we can expect from some of the liberals on this thread.
This type of “deep analysis” is exactly why we have had Obama as president for the past 7 years. |
Strangely distorted thought process in this thread. Now we know how Hillary gets away with what she gets away with. As long as her pantsuit fits and she looks 'real', she MUST be electable
|
OP. Your error is assuming that this particular thread topic represents the totality of our critique of the Republican slate of candidates. It isn't. And we're lucky to have had Obama in th White House for the last seven years. |
I have not seen nearly the same scrutiny and critique of the Democrats on here. |
Of course not. They have crowned their candidate and she can do no wrong. |
