I haven't "decided" anything. He's constantly expressing interest in science and math but says pretty emphatically he doesn't like Spanish. I notice many parents feel strongly about foreign language acquisition; we don't. We want to build on his natural interest/talent and it's undeniably STEM.

I don't see what's so unreasonable about that. I'd probably do the same for mine.

Good for you OP. A lot of DCUMers are sheep and automatically salivate at the word "immersion". It amazes me that some (not all) parents on this forum seem not to notice or care what their child is interested in, but are more worried about what their neighbor is doing with her children.
