The point was almost all of the fairfax high schools had semifinalists but only few schools had scholarship winners and Langley and Marshall had big fat zero. |
| Yes, but those TJ kids are coming from many different high school pyramids. If there was no TJ more fcps high schools would have finalists. |
That applies to all fairfax high schools yet Woodson still had four! |
|
| McLean and Marshall had none. Langley had two. |
| McLean had more National Merit Semifinalists this year than Langley. |
| Marshall had more IB diploma candidates than Langley. |
| There were five BMWs in Langley's parking lot this morning, and only one in McLean's. There were a lot of Accords in GCM's lot. |
| This is low compared to Montgomery County, isn't it? |
Very cool for Woodson! And LB and the others with multiple winners. Just making a point that TJ pulls from most fcps high schools, so the person who says all the TJ winners are proof fcps other schools are substandard is incorrect. TJ just happensto have a large majority of top performers from throughout fcps. TJs student accomplishments are an accomplishment for the entire community. |
| Some students who were NMSFs received National Merit Scholarships underwritten by corporations rather than by the NMSC itself. They weren't listed on the press release. |
The corporate winners are listed in the third post down on the first page. |
It's not a complete list. |
Where is the complete list? |
