Timing of PTA/PTO meetings

Wow. Makes me thankful for our DCPS. Our PTO leaders are a mix of new / mid-term / old-timers and anyone is welcome to do something. It's hard enough getting things done without fighting with each other.

Our charter has 6:30 meetings. Either I or my spouse try to make most them. They provide babysitting but you have to pay for it.

I could maybe do an 8:30 meeting and arrive and work late, but I could NEVER do a lunch meeting. That would add two more commutes to my day! No way.

if paying babysitters at the school is an issue, why not have parent volunteers on a rotating basis?
