Cap City?

Another happy Cap City parent here - I would echo all the good things people have said. The aftercare clubs have been especially wonderful for our kids. To the negative poster, that sounds like a person with a complaint that is more than 15 years old! Move on. The school has. Cap City is a wonderful place, excellent facilities (the prek playground is housed inside the school courtyard, so all the classrooms on all floors have windows and light, and some have a view of the littlest kids. I think this builds a lot of community feeling as well. Our kids are thriving and we are not playing the lottery again.

I'm the PP and just wanted to add that when we lotteried, we had the (unheard of now) choice of Cap City as well as Bridges, CM and YY. We are very happy with our choice.

About the MS teacher turnover question: from last year to this, there have been considerable turnover and retention issues at CCPCS, particularly affecting 8th grade. (The staffing for 5-7 has been pretty stable.)

Has anybody toured or have kids who attended other schools with an expeditionary learning approach? I would be interested to know what made some choose Capital City over the other schools.
