s/o Things you have always wanted to try to make

Squid ink pasta - had some in Italy that was amazing! Have fun with ravioli. I would love to put the pasta roller attachment for the KitchenAid to work. Would love to learn to make good bread - my prior attempts years ago did not turn out well. I finally learned to make a good biscuit (thank you LV Anderson at slate.com)

Homemade noodles and poached eggs are on my list of things to try to make.

If you don't have the fancy-shmancy blow torch, just put the cooked/chilled custards (sprinkled with sugar) under the broiler for a minute or two. The blowtorch does make it easier to get an even finish, but it's not required.

I'd like to make more types of bread. I can make the basic dinner rolls, but the rustic artisan loafs intimidate me.

And homemade pasta. I've made gnocchi, but have never made classic pasta noodles.

my friends make this a lot...Dutch oven crusty bread. and add in mixers (rosemary/olive, or cheese, mmmm)
