Any new information regarding the MD cut-off score would be appreciated. Thanks to anyone who can help.

On College Confidential on the running list the MD cut-off posted as a 221, down 2 pts I believe from last year. Obviously that's an unofficial list and could be wrong.

Someone has also reported that Massachusetts is 223, which would mean that 223 is also the DC cut-off -- DC is always pegged to the highest state cut-off.

+1. The parent reported that her child's guidance counselor said MA cut-off is 223 this year, down 1 pt from last year, and since MA and DC have always had the same exact cut offs scores (always the highest number) I think 223 will be the highest cut off for NMSF of any state this year.

Just saw a few posts on CC that some mom found out from a student that the DC cut off is staying at 224 this year. That's pretty crazy. It would be the only state to stay at last year's level, and will probably be the single highest cut off state. The student said their principal gave them a booklet that had all the state cut offs this year which is how they knew. My daughter was a SF two years ago and we never saw a booklet like that. You would think someone would have posted scores other years if there was such a booklet.

I thought that DC always matched the highest state, which would suggest that, if DC is 224, there is another state (or the "NE Boarding School" category) that is also at 224?

Well, I guess time will tell.

What?? Are you kidding me? My daughter would be one point off then! Wow, I am so shocked, especially since the other high states came down. Maybe that poster is wrong? I guess we'll know in a few days!

How come your kids have done the test already. My 11th grader is taking it next month.

My child is a senior, and I'm guessing so are some of the other parents commenting.

Oh, thanks. So they have to wait for almost a year to find out?

Only if they are on the bubble. If the score is over a 225 then it's a good bet.
