Found baby snake in basement - help!!

This baby snake was not down in the basement when I went down to put laundry in but went back down and it was in front of my dryer I got my clothes out of washer and leaned over and turned on the dryer it went under it I hate snakes I live with my special needs sister I will go to laundry mat from now on
