Baseball - best private school in area ?

No one disputes the popularity of these sports in other areas - but how does that matter to those living in this area? In the DMV private high schools, baseball is a second tier (at best) where you have to go to the ridiculous extent of arguing that Severna Park is part of the DMV to find even one elite player from this area. There really shouldn't be any dispute that LAX is king in the DMV.

More like DMV is king of lax.

But then kids go off to college and then to major league baseball. So honestly, who really cares if someone was a good LAX player in high school.

LAX is definitely more popular than baseball in the elite colleges (Ivies, JHU, DUKE, UVA), but baseball is more popular in the red states, especially Texas.

Football and basketball are the major college sports. LAX is probably a distant third ( among top 25 schools )

+1 Baseball was once America’s National Pastime, but it seems to be the spring sport of knuckle draggers these days.

Went to Stanford. Baseball team was/is a powerhouse. Fencing was better understood than lacrosse. Crew and hockey are bigger than baseball and lacrosse at ivies. And none of those four are even on anyone's radar compared to football and basketball.
