I was a witness to this horrific tragedy. She was running to catch the commuter bus and her shoulder hit the sign on the sidewalk... she did not see the sign because she was looking at the bus trying to get the driver/someone's attention. As she put her hand up to brace her fall she fell into the street.
It was truly a tragic accident...my sympathy and condolences to the family.

It was an incident. She should have been paying attention to where she was running.

You are an ass! Can you say you always look where you are going? Never run a yellow light? This was a horrible tragedy.

Maybe you should pay attention to being less of an asshole.

She ran into a sign... How do you miss that?

I agree that upper Wiscondin is perilous. Wisconsin and Albemarle is a disaster waiting to happen.

How many riders on the bus are claiming fake injuries or seeking large legal settlements due to this accident?

show some god damn respect will you!? Shame on you for responding in such ways about this horrific tradgedy! That is my stepmother you talking about. She was very much loved and is dearly missed by a lot of people. You are too busy pointing the finger at her and claiming she was in the wrong and blah blah blah. You know what? It was a freak accident and all you people can say is "oh well it's her fault, shouldn't have been running, now people are going to come out and try to sue for injuries they've sustained." I can not believe the comments on here. Some of you have no respect and think that this just happened to a random person who nobody knew or had no family or friends to leave behind. Your ignorance sickens me. The fact that you can openly say these things and think that it will not hurt anyone and think that family members (like me) will not see this. It doesn't matter who was at fault, we are not pointing fingers at anyone. What matters is that she is not around anymore, we will never again see her in person, hear her voice, or give her hugs. She will never get to see her daughter graduate college or walk down the isle on her wedding day. Why don't you people try thinking of that before you start making these ignorant, smart ass comments about what has happened to my stepmom and her (my) family.

So sorry for your loss PP. May God give you strength to go through this difficult time!

What's it like being Muslim? Well, it's hard to find a decent halal pizza place and occasionally there is a hashtag calling for your genocide...

I am very sorry for your loss, PP. This is indeed a tragic accident, it could happen to anyone. The nasty posters realize are scared it could happen to them and they try to rationalize their feelings by blaming the victim. Please forgive them if you can. It sounds like your stepmom was an amazing person, may she rest in peace.
