Current: Hmm, I watch a LOT, but my favorites are probably Justified and Parenthood.

If you haven't already watched it, you would really like Firefly.

I have my friend's DVD set but haven't gotten around to it. Probably will get to it over the summer if I'm still not working.

These shows want to make me gag. Grown ups didn't really watch them with kids b/c they were annoying.

I don't know if that exists, PP.

But fyi, I bought the DVDs for I Love Lucy and my kids were addicted for over a year! We don't watch much TV but my kids could watch them more than once (one thing--you have to explain to them that people didn't know smoking caused lung cancer back then)

Also, my kids and their friends (girls as well as boys) loved Man vs. Wild with Bear Grylls. Check out that, PP! Your kids will be building a shelter in your back yard in no time.

PP, if you have not checked out commonsensemedia.org, it's the website for you. TV shows, movies, books…it tells you what goes on so you can make a good choice for you and your kids.

Finally, Ty Burr's book…it's on amazon.com, it's called something like "great classic movies to watch with your kids." something like that. You'll find it. Tells you why to watch certain movies…his theory is if you show them great movies and explain why they are great, then they can discern between good modern tv and crap.
