Have you ever hated your job so much you quit without a backup?

OP, I too have been following both threads, and I am EXCITED for your decision to quit! Good luck!

OP, please come back and give us an update. I am the OP of a very similar thread and want to know how things turned out for you. I am near my breaking point, but am afraid to leave without another job lined up.

Good luck, OP! I have been in your shoes, and the sense of relief I felt when leaving my miserable job was HUGE. I quit with no backup and didn't realize until later what a negative effect that job had on my emotional and physical wellbeing. In hindsight, I wish I had left sooner. Finding a new job without being employed wasn't as big of a deal as I thought it would be, and I know that I interviewed much better when I was happy and relaxed than I would have if I'd still been at that hell of a job.

Best of luck and much happiness to you!

What is wrong with being laid-off?

Trust me. It's a stink that doesn't go away. The smell says, they would have kept you if they wanted you.
