Granted, my mom's kids are all grown, but she's an active grandma too. She's 50-ish and meets and dates guys all of the time. Have a feeling she will remarry in the next couple years.

Does seem like an unnecessarily mean spirited note. I'm the 48 yo single mom. I posted because I wanted to let OP know that women like me would be interested in him. Not because I can't find anyone to date. I have not lacked for dates on match/ok cupid, which are the two sites I've been trying.

It's funny when people say they don't lack for dates. I guess that means a lot of first dates but not much follow up? A lot of attractive/fit people go on first dates but the goal (in my mind) is second, third, in a relationship dates. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think anyone was bragging about first dates just refuting the suggestion that no one would even consider a 40 year old with kids.
