Sending in veggies in school lunch...that come back uneaten every single day- what to do?

Another one that was a hit with my husband and kiddo was a recipe I found on Pinterest that uses a cauliflower puree over pasta to make a healthier alfredo sauce. (I was going for lower fat vs. disguising veggies, but you totally couldn't tell it was cauliflower - very creamy and awesome!)

OP, your little boy is a riot--I got a laugh out of the zucchini bread story, but I kind of want to cry too because he sounds like my 5 year old, w/r/t veggie resistance. I'm amazed my daughter doesn't have rickets.

Stop sending them.

Once tried I decided I didn't want to waste because frankly there are too many people going hungry in this world to throw away good food. My motto always was try it once and we go from there. My kids only ate potatoes when they were younger.

Banana bread, oatmeal cookies, raisin bread all got eaten so I went that route. Easy recipe, look up coffee can raisin bread. You can use dehydrated fruit too.

BTW, no one dies from not eating vegetables. Eskimos rarely if ever eat vegetables.

When my kids got older they ate some vegetables. No point fighting and forcing.

Wow. Great role model. You realize that kids learn from their parents don't you? And that vegetables are essential for a healthy balanced diet.

my kid is picky with veggies too but seems to have no problems with salad. So I send a little bit of salad and some salad dressing. It's eaten up everyday.
