As long as your fridge/pantry is reasonably well stocked (i.e. enough for her to make a sandwich or salad or something), just tell her to help herself.

We don't have babysitters during a mealtime very often, but if my kids are eating dinner, the babysitter is welcome to eat, too.
Say she arrives at 7pm, I'll take her to help herself to whatever she finds and mention a few ideas of things we have for snacks or drinks. |
