Congrats to OP. I think the grass is always greener. I'm about to jump ship from the private sector to go to the government. Taking a huge pay cut but excited for the work life balance and to get the experience. This is assuming the government opens of course. I'm also sure after a few years in the government I might want to jump right back to private.

I don't get this post. When companies are in the red, they cut costs conduct large permanent layoffs. How would the fed be any different? Also, u guys are going to get back pay for this furlough.
