I enjoy the Kane show. They kind of remind me of me and my friends when we were younger. Not everything is high brow and that is okay. If I am not in the mood for the "banter" I switch the station to NPR. 99.5 and NPR are my two go-to stations on my morning drive. For those who like Elliott in the morning; I never "got" him. I tried years ago, but just could not do it.

When you put yourself out in the public eye - which Kane's wife clearly does, you take your chances that people are going to say things about you - and they may not always be nice things. She uses her husband's career status to get blog followers that she would never ever have given the quality of her blog, she posts pictures of herself and her little girls in a bathtub (so gross and inappropriate!), and blogs all about her personal life. She put it all out there and she reaps the benefits (i.e., followers, likes, etc...). Negative comments are the downside, but she is the one who had chosen to put herself (and sadly, her kids) in that position.

Kane seems too old for the show. He's like a cranky, wet blanket.

I listened to Kane when he first started on the show.....and now, it's like listening to the same thing day after day. In the past, he would call his wife on the show to ask her questions. I think she's an average looking mother of two.......yet the way she describes her life it sounds as if she's a homeschooling mother of twelve. I've never even heard of her blog until today but if it brings her happiness, good for her.

I think she's quite pretty, but the blog is just another mommy blog.

Kids in cute outfits? check

Martha Stewart wannabe with recipes, etc? check

Photo of feet wearing shoes? check

Glammermommy always looking photo ready? check

Trying to create an image of messy perfection? check.

I see some Kelle Hampton (the ultimate phony) influence with the kid photos and some Dooce influence with the dog stuff. It's all very cliché.

For the record I too am a Momastery fan OP, but I like that she does a lot for the community and she's raw and self-deprecating.

I'm surprised all radio show wives don't have blogs....seems like an easy way to engage followers and generate income.

Boring blog IMHO, but I can see how his fans might be interested (in creepily following his family).

So why did Melanie leave the show? And has Sarah accomplished anything since leaving?

I like Kane, but can't stand the new people - to the point where I can no longer listen. I am now all Elliot all the time.

As for his wife's blog - I don't really understand why anyone cares - if you don't like don't read it.

+1000 you said exactly what I was thinking.

Sarah Fraser is in NYC, according to her Facebook. Radio/TV host/creator of the talk show "Hey Frase"
http://heyfrase.com/

As for Melanie, looks like there was some drama:

I love the blog. I also love how blogs are resources for new moms. It was helpful to me when I chose to stay home that other young moms were going through the same challenges. I support the working woman! I support the SAHM. I work at home now, and I am thankful to be in a day-and-age where I can have so many options.

Oh never heard of her until now, but just read her blog about all of her health problems and I think small fiber neuropathy might be worth investigating for me! Sounds very similar to the symptoms I have that have no answers! If it turns out to be that, then thanks to her for blogging about her health.
