Fair enough -- the Yale/Jail thing is one of those things that needlessly polarizes and takes away from whatever point I might have been trying to make.

The commute from Fredericksburg to DC is hellish, and to the Maryland burbs would be simply insane. Plus, I would hardly consider most people in Fredericksburg 'progressive minded'.

It's doable if the Silver Spring/Bethesda worksites are Metro-accessible. Driving, yes.

Fredericksburg City *is* progressive. Not so much Stafford or Spotsylvania.
