Nope, the best Whole Foods is actually called Central Market and its only in Texas.

Oooh - don't remind me of how bad the grocery stores are here!! I miss Central Market so much! But even the WFs in Texas were a million times better than the crappy-ass ones we have here. And Fair Oaks is waaay to far for me to drive for a good grocery store.

Space is the issue - it's just too expensive I guess to have a decent grocery store in DC.

I used to live by the Central Market in Austin back in the college days and used to think that was the best store ever. Went there again last year while on a business trip and was no longer as impressed... Something has changed...

Definitely not Bethesda (River Rd). It's ok but far too small and the parking can get crazy.

Really? Bummer! It's been a while since I've been, too. I agree that it seems like lack of space is the issue. I'm a Floridian and our regular run of the mill store, Publix, puts our WF to shame.

WF on Duke in Alexandria is awesome... the one in rockville is huge too (actually it is where their midatlantic hq are) but its kind of a schlep.
