WTH 3rd grade math!?!?

I think the question means this:

How does testing out your answers (solutions) to unit fraction etc. math questions help reinforce what you are learning

?

I do this in a way - when I get a math answer, I test the answer to make sure it's right. Like after I solve for X, before I go with that answer, i test it in the formula and make sure it works. I'm totally guessing but this could be what it means. Like double checking an answer, and how one can then see the solution from a different point of view.
