Um . . . do you really WANT to be in the bathroom while he is taking a dump? I lived in a 1 bath place with DH and a toddler and even in the direst of emergencies we gave each other privacy for that.

Not PP, but what I want to understand is why it takes DH 30 mins to take a dump when I can accomplish it in 5 minutes flat.

Maybe it's because he's full of crap. Okay, I couldn't help myself.

Yes, and it takes 20 mins minimum (and he has to go twice, before and after shower, not normal in my opinion). I don't want to be in there, nor will he allow it. Which is why I am desperate for another toilet.

I hear you, my DH drives me crazy with this too and we used to have a 1 bath home. His mom says he used to try to get out of doing the dishes and other chores by doing this as a kid. Conveniently when everything is ready he'll reappear. Don't pay attention to the harpies, they don't understand if they don't have a poop malingerer.

Mine got a lot better when I just stopped doing "his" tasks. If he wants to be late for work because he takes an hour to poop, that's his problem. Or he can get up early to accomplish it. His choice. I hate having to treat my DH like a toddler but it works.

What do I want for Christmas? Some christmas tree peeps and a pocket digital camera would be nice.

More time with DH. Heck, any time with DH. He works 6 1/2 days a week, 12+ hour days (self-employed), we barely see him. I miss him so much. He's as good a dad amd husband as he can be, and his schedule is killing him. Santa, please bring me 1 date night a week, 1 family day a week, our postponed anniversary trip, and oh yeah, sex once a week too.

Prior to reading this thread I did not have a holiday wish list. I do now. I want no hospitalizations or surgeries for your DS.

I love the fantasy gifts and I'd really like to give PPs with a baby and a surgery-less year for DC. However, I'm really trying to come up with a realistic gift list and I could use some realistic ideas! So far, my list includes: Marc Jacobs nylon tote I've had my eye on to use as purse/baby bag; set of new dish towels from Sur La Table. That's it. I need some more ideas or else my family will be left to their own devices again (last year's gift from my bro and sister in law: used book biography of a random black panther. um, what?). I'm expecting DD#2 at Thanksgiving, so I'm trying to come up with ideas for things that I may like once I'm dealing with a toddler and a newborn, but I'm drawing a blank. I think I have selective amnesia from that time period after DD#1's birth.
